Do you get up early or late? Do you find it easy/difficult ot get up? Why?

Well, I usually get up quite late, because I tend to go to bed around midnight. I normally wake up at about eight o’clock, which I guess is a bit later than most people.
To be honest, I find it quite difficult to get up early, since my sleep schedule isn’t very regular. Sometimes I stay up late watching videos or finishing some work, so it’s hard to wake up feeling refreshed.

What do you usually have for breakfast?

To be honest, I usually don’t have breakfast. Most of the time, I only eat lunch and dinner.

When do people visit friends and relatives in your country?

In my country, people visit their friends quite often, especially if they have similar hobbies or live nearby. Most people like to hang out with friends after work — they might have dinner together or go somewhere to relax.
As for relatives, people usually visit them during important festivals, like the Chinese New Year or the Mid-Autumn Festival. At that time, families get together, share a big meal, and talk about what’s been happening over the past year, like how their work or studies have been going.

NCE2 - 1

Last week I went to the theatre. I had a very good seat. The play was very interesting, but I didn’t enjoy it. A young man and a young woman were setting behind me. They were talking loudly. I was got very angry, because I couldn’t hear the actors. I turned around and watched looked at them angrily, but they were not didn’t pay any attention. In the end, I couldn’t bear it. I turned around again. “I can’t hear a word!” I said angrily.
“It’s none of your business.” The man said rudely, “This’s a private conversation!”

NCE2 - 2

It was Sunday, and I never get up early on Sundays. Sometimes I stay on the in bed until lunchtime. Last Sunday, I got up very late. I looked out of the window. It was dark outside. “What a day!” I though. “It’s raining again.” At that time Just then, the telephone rang. It was my Aunt Lucy. “I’ve just arrived here by train”, she said, “I’m coming to see you.”
“But I’m still having breakfast.” I said.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
“I’m having breakfast.” I repeated.
“Dear me!” she said, “Are you always get up so late? It’s one o’clock!”
