Composition

A sticky business
In a small village, there was a church with a big clock that struck the hours day and night. One night, the church clock remained silent and next morning everyone found that the clock had stopped working. The clocked was damaged, but no one could explain why.
Two days later, the vicar wanted to see what was going on, so he climbed up into the clock tower, taking a torch with him. After entering the tower, he looked up and found that the clock had been invaded by bees and lot of them were flying around it. Seeing this, the vicar was afraid to touch the clock because he didn’t know how to remove the bees and the wax.
Now that he understood what had caused the problem, he went home and contacted the beekeeper.
A short while later, the beekeeper arrived on the spot. Armed with his equipment, he went up into the clock tower and succeeded in removing the queen bee, then he left the tower with her. After that, the other bees followed the beekeeper, and the vicar immediately went up into the tower with a knife and removed the wax and honey. Now that the clock was clean, it was working properly again.
